I totally got behind with this week. I tend to print pictures the weekend directly following the week – at home or Costco – and then I would spend Saturday or Sunday morning putting my two-page spread together. Last weekend was crazy busy because I left for my conference on Sunday which meant that our usual weekend activities were condensed into two days. SO…life happened! I managed to get the pictures printed and picked up from Costco, added a few extra embellishments using my Silhouette Portrait, but didn’t actually put the pictures into the pockets or fill out my journaling cards until this morning. But that’s ok! That’s why I love this project so much. It’s really pretty easy to stay caught up.
This is a peek at my desk as I was pulling everything together this morning. I started using an app again that I used to use called “Momento“. You can connect this app to multiple services such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Foursquare, Last.Fm, YouTube, etc… and then go back to any particular day and see what you shared (pictures, status updates, videos, etc…) or even what you listened to on that day. I think this will be perfect for helping me add content to my journaling cards for Project Life! Here are a few screen captures from my phone that will give you an idea of what Memento can do:
On to this week 6′s two-page spread!

I used my new Silhouette Portrait this week and added a sticker frame + words reading “Hello Life” by Ali Edwards. This week I really wanted to use white stickers but I didn’t have any white adhesive backed cardstock. So after thinking about it for a bit, I wondered if any label paper companies made large labels. And Avery does! I used Avery® White Full-Sheet Labels to print out a few stickers this week. Here’s a closer look at the sticker:
I had no problems using the Avery labels with my Silhouette. I put one full sheet on my sticker mat before running it through the Silhouette.

I added the “brrr” sticker (another Ali Edwards brush) and I took the text from an email I received letting me know that my research was approved and used that as the background and added the word “Yay” on top of it in my handwriting using the Skitch app.

So what is Project Life? Project Life is a memory-keeping system that was created by Becky Higgins and as Becky says on her website, Project Life “provides an ultra-simple solution that helps us get those pictures into albums without draining our time, energy, and wallets”. And she’s absolutely right!
