I learned about a new app today that lets you create resumes on your iPhone or iPad. Resume Designer was created by a company called Fall Day Software and is usually priced at $4.99, but it’s free right now!
This simple app enables you to quickly and easily create resumes. When you open the app, you’ll find a few sample resumes to get you started. I checked out the Student Resume first as I’m planning to recommend this app to my students in class today:
You’ll notice you have a couple of choices when you tap on a sample resume. You can:
- Share it
- Preview it
- Edit it
- Delete it
- Duplicate it or
- Rename it

You can easily change the content in the resume and change the styles as well. I like that the Styles are pretty simple. Here are a few samples:
I started a sample resume from scratch and found it super easy to add content as well:
You can decide what sections you’d like your resume to contain, like these standard sections:
Or one of two types of custom sections:
Finally you can decide how you’d like to Share your resume.
If you choose to Email your resume, it will attach to an email as a PDF. Open In lets you open it in a number of applications on your device such as iBooks, Evernote, or cloud storage apps such as SkyDrive or Dropbox.
